The next NJHS meeting is scheduled for May Tuesday, May 8.
A blood drive is scheduled for Monday May 14. If you are able, please try to donate. The blood drive will be held win the gym from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm.

The membership of the National Junior Honor Society held elections recently. The newly elected offices are as follows: Olivia---President, Jacob---Vice-president, Paige---Treasurer, Gus---Secretary, Nina and Maddie---Historians.

Regular monthly meeting will be held on Tuesdays this school year. The first four meetings are on September 26, October 24, November 7, and December 12.
The first blood drive of the year is scheduled for Monday, October 2 from 1:00 to 6:00 in the gym. Permission slips will be sent home to allow members to work at the blood drive.

The National Junior Honor Society had a busy holiday season. The held their annual candy cane sale with very successful results. They also delivered letters to Sanata from all the students in 4K through fifth grade. Santa wrote letters back to these students, and the NJHS students deliverfed them back to students with a pice of holiday candy. Some students even read letters to some of our younger students.

The Washington-Caldwell chapter of the National Junior Honor Society has had a productive year so far. They have elected the executive board which includes Zoie as president, Gage as vice-president, Bo as treasurer, Gus as secretary and Lexie as historian.
The students of NJHS held their first blood drive of the year and it was very successful. The Goal was to collect twenty-seven pints of blood and thirty-two ints were actually collected. Each pint can potentially help three people.
Students have also begun work on games for the PTO's annual Fall Fest with the help of other students from sixth, seventh, and eighth grade.
The NJHS also has decided to sell Tiny Trick or Treat bags as a fall fundraiser. The bags will be delivered on Monday, October 31.

Our first meeting will be Wednesday, September 21 from after school to 5:00 in Mr. Thompson's room.
The first blood drive is scheduled for Monday, October 10 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the gym.

Our annual Pennies for Patients fundraiser for people with leukemia and lymphoma has concluded with a record setting amount raised. The students of Washington-Caldwell have raised over $900.00. The seventh grade class alone raised over $300.00. Congratulations to all of our students for this great achievement.

The annual Fall Fest may have been the best ever. NJHS students along with volunteers from all the middle school classes created and ran games. Young students from Washington-Caldwell enjoyed a fun night.
October 10, 2015
Our first blood drive of the year was very successful. The American Red Cross collected 37 units of blood. We beat our goal of 33 units. NJHS students did a great job assisting blood drive workers and registering donors.

We held our first NJHS meeting of the new school year. We talked about our upcoming blood drive and election of officers. The students who want to run for an office have let me know and we will be holding our election during the school day this week.

Our first blood drive for 2014-2015 is scheduled for October 8. We will also once again be providing childcare at the PTO meetings the second Monday of each month. The PTO meetings run from 6:30 to 7:30 pm.
